As a lifelong resident of Hancock County and as your local agent, Shane Berry uses his diverse background in agriculture, health, coaching, and construction to create a well-rounded understanding of his clients’ needs. Shane resides in Indianapolis and attends St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He learned the foundational values that drive him today through his large family and agricultural upbringing. Shane holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University East in humanities and social sciences.

What is a beneficiary and why is it important?
When my dad Doug passed away unexpectedly in 2017, he left behind two daughters, the family business and a house full of books and Phillies baseball memorabilia. He also had a couple of life insurance policies and an Individual Retirement Annuity (IRA), on which he named my sister and me as the primary beneficiaries.
