March is known for St. Patrick’s Day, the first day of spring on March 20 and, for many sports fans out there, March is also known for the annual college basketball tournament!
Where is the college basketball tournament being held this year?
Due to the pandemic, the 2020 college basketball tournament was canceled last year. This year, instead of canceling the tournament, all the games will be played in Indiana.
The decision was fantastic news for Indiana and plans were put in place to host the 2021 college basketball tournament in Indianapolis and the surrounding region. The players will be staying in area hotels and will play in six separate venues. These include:
Can I get tickets or watch the college basketball tournament this year?
A limited number of fans will be permitted to attend the college basketball tournament games. Each venue will allow up to 25% capacity at each of the 67 games played during the tournament. To help provide a safe environment, spectators will be required to social distance at each game and wear face masks. Continue to look online for more information if you plan to buy tickets.
Just because you may not be attending the games in person doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them from your own home court! The first round of games will be on March 19-20 and will be on TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV. The regional semifinals that will be on March 27-28 will be shown on CBS and TBS. The regional finals on March 29 will be aired on CBS and March 30 on TBS. The semi-final games and the championship game will be presented on CBS.
