(Indianapolis) – Feb. 6, 2025 – Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance is excited to announce the promotion of Michaele Sheltz to executive director of life new business and underwriting and the hiring of Roz Jester as the company’s director of talent management.
Sheltz, who began her career with the company in 2014 as the manager of life underwriting, now leads the teams responsible for processing new life insurance applications, completing underwriting, and issuing policies for both Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance agents and independent agents who sell simplified products nationwide. She is also responsible for contracting and commissions for those independent agents. In her new role, Sheltz is looking forward to modernizing systems and processes.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to change the life insurance application and underwriting process to provide a more efficient experience for our clients and agents,” Sheltz said. “The work we are doing will result in more families and businesses having financial protection.”
Sheltz graduated from Taylor University with a degree in business administration and holds several professional certifications related to the life insurance industry. She and her husband, Lee, reside in Indianapolis and have four children. In her free time, Sheltz enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
