INDIANAPOLIS – For 63 years, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance company United Farm Family Life Insurance Company (UFFL) has earned a Best’s Financial Strength Rating of “A” (Excellent) indicating that the company remains financially strong.
A.M. Best, a global credit rating agency that specializes in the insurance industry, honored UFFL by including it on the 2023 A.M. Best’s Review “Standing the Test of Time” list, which recognizes property/casualty and life/health insurers that have maintained a Best’s Financial Strength Rating of “A” (Excellent) or higher for at least 50 years.
The 15th edition of “Standing the Test of Time,” published in July’s Best’s Review, includes 167 companies, but only 37 life/health insurance companies.
“I’m so proud that United Farm Family Life Insurance Company has been acknowledged with the ‘Standing the Test of Time’ recognition,” said Tom Bower, senior vice president of life. “Earning the ‘A’ (Excellent) rating and being able to maintain it for 63 years highlights our commitment to our customers. We are strong and stable and will continue to help you protect what matters most.”
A.M. Best ratings are a forward-looking, independent, and objective opinion regarding an insurer's, issuer's or financial obligation's relative creditworthiness. The opinion represents a comprehensive analysis consisting of a quantitative and qualitative evaluation of balance sheet strength, operating performance and business profile.
“The economic environment we have been operating in is difficult,” said CEO Kevin Murphy. “Having our ‘A’ (Excellent) rating affirmed for 63 years is something to be very proud of.”
