Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance announces central district promotions

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance is excited to announce the promotion of Chad Ferman to the sales director of the central district, effective January 2025. Ferman has been with the company for 15 years, previously acting as the agency manager for all offices in Hendricks, Morgan, Owen and Putnam counties.  

 

April Tilley is also being promoted to replace Ferman as agency manager in Hendricks, Morgan, Owen and Putnam counties. 

 

In his new role, Ferman will be managing Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance sales functions in 32 central Indiana counties. 

 

Ferman states, “I can remember my first day, 15 years ago, thinking what in the world have I gotten myself into, I had serious doubts that this could be a career for me. Fast forward to today and I can tell you that I was partially right, this isn’t just a career for me. Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance and the Farm Bureau family have become part of my life. So many people have poured into me from day one, and I couldn’t be more excited to give back all I can give.”   

 

The Purdue University alumnus resides in Avon with his wife, Amber, as well as their two children Kylah and Caleb. In their free time, the Ferman family enjoys exploring national parks, as well as other countries like Australia and Spain.  

 

Tilley has been with the company since 2019 as a district sales advisor. The Terre Haute native has lived in Brazil for 21 years with her husband, John, and children Josh and Lauren. Tilley’s passions include helping others, traveling and spending time with her family.  

 

When asked about the promotion, Tilley said, “I am most excited about having the chance to lead my own agency. It’s an incredible opportunity to make a positive impact—helping this agency continue to grow, assisting them in their success. Having the opportunity to continue to assist clients, making a positive impact in their lives and in our communities.”
