Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance announces retirement, new local management

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance congratulates Kirk Johnson on his retirement after 36 years with the company. John Horazy has been named to replace Johnson as agency manager for the Steuben, Elkhart, Lagrange and Noble counties.  

 

Johnson started his career as an agent in 1988 and was promoted to agency manager in 2009. 

 

Johnson has earned many accomplishments during his time at the company, including earning 30 Trailblazer qualifications, 15 Top Ten awards, 21 Trendsetter qualifications, as well as earning the prestigious Diamond Achiever award in 2020. In addition, Kirk joined the President’s Club in 2003, the Lifetime President’s Club in 2016, and was the company’s leading sales agent in Indiana, Governor Agent, in 2008.   

 

“Throughout his nearly four decades with the company, Kirk has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to our clients and a passion for delivering outstanding service,” said Jeff Huelson, executive director of sales, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. 

 

Johnson and his wife, Terry, have three children and six grandchildren and look forward to what the next chapter has in store for them.  

 

“As we bid Kirk farewell, I’m excited that John Horazy brings with him a proven track record of success, making him the ideal candidate to lead the Steuben-Elkhart-LaGrange-Noble agency team,” said Huelson.
