Joe Horstman earns top sales award at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance

Joe Horstman - IFBI Governor Agent

(Indianapolis) – Feb. 17, 2025 – Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance proudly announces that Joe Horstman has earned the Governor Agent award, which is presented to the company’s top-performing agent of the year.

In addition to the Governor Agent award, Horstman entered the company’s elite Lifetime President’s Club over the weekend. This designation is for agents who have earned the Top 10 award in 10 separate years with Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.

Horstman began his career at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in May 2002. He enjoys building relationships in his community while helping his clients understand the value of Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance and the parent company, Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc.

“I get to work with people, especially farmers and business owners, who are self-made individuals,” Horstman said. “They push me to do a better job serving them and protecting them with our insurance products.”

Horstman added that great working relationships with the company’s underwriters and staff in his local office have attributed to his success. He specifically acknowledged the efforts of Diane Cooley, field operations associate in Benton County, who has worked with Horstman his entire career. He says that she is a key factor in his ability to write new business and maintain existing client relationships.

“I hope achieving this milestone and winning this award means that I have earned my clients’ trust,” said Horstman. “Our goal is for our clients to truly understand the insurance they have, and we try to make that process a less daunting task for our clients.”

Horstman writes policies for clients across the state but primarily serves Hoosiers in Benton, Jasper, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe and White counties.
